Our story
SillyGooseYarns started because of a passion for crocheting and knitting. Next to an almost unhealthy addiction to colorful and unique yarns. As a first time mum I run my business out of my apartment, next to the standard household chores and baby resposibilities. I'm 24 years old and adore colors. Pastels, muted, neon, you name it and I love it. Currently my standard collections exist of virgin wool and merino wool. When the seasons change so do our other yarn bases.
What makes us special?
At SillyGooseYarns we work with different collections. One of which is our standard collection of virgin wool. Which is always available. Next to it you will find merino, cotton, alpaca, mini's and socksets. We as well offer special caked up mini's boxes! Occasionally there will be holiday or limited edition yarn bases and colorways, be quick to catch those because gone = gone. Sometimes I like to get creative and try new techniques my trial and error pieces will be available too!
The dyeing process
Our yarn is hand dyed with Jaquard acid dyes right here in our apartment. I love creating colorways inspired by moodboards and photos. This results in collections with a theme. You’ll find the inspiration pictures included in the listings. Because I'm a crocheter and a beginner knitter I know exactly what yarns are nice to work with.
